“I received word that the team got a line on a job that requires them to take a little trip into the wilderness. Rumor has it, its to do a little reagent poaching on a tract of land that is owned by Prince Zincan. The Johnson, in this case, is a talismonger that has a shop out in Sandy. Lindsey Crow Feather already had a pair of muscles for the job, but wanted a little more insurance. The negotiation was simple, 8k each, plus an additional payment for each reagent gathered. Her associate, Belson, would be their guide through the wilderness. A squat, overweight balding, middle aged human man, Belson is a licensed guide, hunter and tracker. The team was given a short list of the reagents to gather and left in Belson’s RV. The list was short and simple.

Griffon’s Beak
Silver Moss
Golden Boar Tusk
Werewolf Fur

The team made their way into the Seren’diol National Park and set up base camp on the edge of the park. They unloaded the Growlers. Belson already scouted out locations on where they can harvest the reagents and posted them on an AR map. The Matrix doesnt exist out in this region, so the wireless functionality is NULL at best. The team decided on going for the griffon’s beak first. There was a nest of griffons that are about a 4 hours ride through rough terrain to the cliff face where the nest is located. After a rough climb up the cliff, the party came face to face with four griffons. There was a little snafu with the giant, known as Draken, and stumbling over a rock. The giant found himself with two of the griffon’s beaks where … well where they shouldnt be. As the rest of the team made their way over the ledge, they made quick work of the griffons. Belson went to work harvesting the beaks and the team found a stash of a pair of giffon’s eggs.

The next stop was going after the silver moss. There was a grove nearby that had an abundance of it, but it was inhabited by some aggressive awakened monkeys. Belson only needed cover while he gathered the moss. It would take about a half hour or so to gather up and prepare the moss. In the meantime, the party was pelted by small stones, sticks and handfuls of feces. The brunt of which was targeted on Rae. The team took pot shots at the monkeys and bought Belson the time he needed to gather a good amount of moss.

The next item on the list was the werewolf fur and the team decided to act that night. There was a mated pair that took up shelter in an old abandoned hunting cabin. The team did a little recon on the cabin and watched as they moved about the cabin. Walker caught sight of a totem that one of them was wearing that identified her as another follower of Wolf. As everyone started to plan, Eternal decides to charge the cabin and tosses in a tear gas grenade. This caught the team by surprise, but after a moment or two, they were able to compose themselves and take up positions around the cabin. As the battle started, Draken took the full brunt of a stunbolt spell that knocked him unconscious. They two invisible werewolves burst out of the cabin, one of them disoriented from the tear gas and flashbangs, was taken down by Mutt. Tatters caught a glimpse of a figure by a tree. The branch that she stepped on gave her position away. He shot a burst from his smg, but only hit dirt and tree. He shouted out to the others and Walker was able to pin point her location astrally. He hit her with a lightning bolt spell and she goes down. Eternal took out the other werewolf with some handy swordwork. However, the werewolf magician had another spell to let loose. The stunbolt was unleashed on Walker, but he was able to dodge it. Unfortunately, the spell was so powerful, the drain killed its caster. Moments later, the ghostly form of Wolf appears to Walker, silently judging him. A few moments later, Wolf turns and walks away into nothingness.

The last and final of the reagents is the golden boar tusks. Belson asked that the team not kill this boar, only subdue it so that he can harvest the tusks. The boar is an awakened creature that has the ability to regenerate its wounds and will grow the tusks back. The team tracks down the boar and Mutt subdues and holds it while the tusks are harvested. The boar was released unharmed and tuskless back into the wilderness.

With all the reagents in hand, plus a pair of griffon’s eggs, the team heads back to civilization and gets paid, plus a bonus for the eggs. It was good to see that they were able to pick themselves back up after the previous failure. The team now gets some time off for retrospective inspection as they prepare for the future.”

“A sports friend of mine got me in touch with me about an acquaintance. Shadowrunning and sports have gone hand in hand since the leagues have passed the Denver Agreement. With that agreement, teams are forbidden to interfere with the acquisition of talent. Hence, shadowrunning became an avenue of circumventing the agreement. Now, I have done runs for and against other teams, so I am familiar with these kinds of runs. I agreed to me with him. After discussing the details of what was needed, I decided to throw the green team on it. They need something a little different and could learn from this run. I set up the meet with the Johnson and the team. I decided to include a couple of new people to help round the team out as well. The job was to keep an eye on a young recruit for the Paladins basketball team. He is scheduled to be in town for 3 days while the Paladins court him. It was almost assured that other teams would want to interfere with this kid, so this was going to be a tough one. Both the team and Johnson agreed to the terms and they went off.

What fraggin surprised me is that the team lost the kid on the first day and he was extracted by another runner team. They did good while the kid arrived at the airport and through the hotel. They found about the other runner team and some of their capabilities and thought out of the box to keep an eye on him. They were also able to keep on the mark in the hotel room and on the way to dinner. He had a dinner meet with some of the team management when all hell broke loose. Half the team was watching the mark and the other half was watching the hotel. Both were hit with violence at about the same time. Walker and Sapper were watching the hotel when they found out that the other running team’s decker was doing the same. They were assaulted by a pair of drones. At the restaurant, a couple that was having dinner opened fire on another table of dinner guests. The situation was handled quickly by Mutt and they lost the mark in all of the commotion. The were able to pick up the trail again after remembering the vehicle was tagged. They found it was ran off the road and two of the four bodyguards were dead. The mark was nowhere to be found.

I have had my share of failed runs in my time, and in a way, its good that the team have gotten on under their belt. The need to shake this off and get back on the horse. From my understanding they have another run lined up now. Hopefully they can get a successful run back under them.”
