The Azure Tower
The Azure Tower
The Azure Tower was an immense fortress made from quarried stone. The fortress’s main building was a massive tower, that historical documents stated, stood in excess of 2,000ft. The tower was given its name from the blueish tint of the quarried stone during the falling sun. It was built by the order of Zeus during the early stages of the Titan Wars to defend the Northern Realms from the Titans. Work began on it, however, before it could be completed, the Titan Srentaq learned of this plan and laid siege to it. The Battle of Azure Tower ensued. In the end the forces of the Gods, led by the gold dragon Zrazkos, over came the Titans and secured the tower and the region. However, this strategic win came at an immense personal loss for Zrazkos. He learned that one of his must trusted friend and advisor, the gold dragon Emozu, was a spy for the Titan forces that laid seige to the tower. For his betrayal, Emozu was slain when Zrazkos buried his glaive deep in his chest. While this pained him greatly, the deed had to be done. Zrazkos buried Emozu deep beneath the tower and sealed his remains in the lost crypt. The tower seen a multitude of other battles during the Titan Wars, but remained strong and in the control of the Gods.

After the Titan Wars were over, the Azure Tower was abandoned and lost to time. Although there are ancient records detailing its construction and involvement in the Titan Wars, there is nothing about the location of the tower nor about the role it played afterwards. While most scholars consider the Azure Tower a myth, the Order of the Phoenix is convinced that the location is real and has had many expeditions across the Northern Realms, yet have failed to locate it. Treasure hunters the world over have also searched, but to no avail, for the tower and the fabled riches that could be buried within Emozu's tomb.
