The following are specially crafted or acquired items for this campaign.
“You need to learn how to work the shaft” — Cass.
Crafted by the praetorian Alphonse during the Year of Stunning Greed, the Savage’s Maul is made from the tail of a creature that was slain in a swamp on the shores of Emerald Bay.
The abhorrent form of the protuberant maul serves as an indication of its might. The wielder might feel it shiver every once in a while at the imminence of a fight.
Due to the nature of this weapon and the way it was crafted, the rigidness of the shaft can change amidst a blow, either landing a hit that would otherwise miss, or misfiring. As long as you hit hard, it will be ok.
“Good thing I didn’t let Pickle eat that” — Vera.
Crafted by the praetorian Alphonse from a displacer beast that was slain in a ruin north of Millport during the Year of Bruised Eyes.
An all-black morningstar with white spikes that somehow appear to be constantly moving at the distance, but are still when inspected closely. This weapon seems to have retained some sort of power from its source, as it tends to give off the illusion of being slightly blurry when in the hand of its wielder.
The spikes vibrate slightly as it hits a surface, causing some more damage to an otherwise blunt strike.
Harmony and Discord
“These are the final notes” — Alphonse
Crafted by the praetorian Alphonse during the Year of Stunning Greed, these two twin shortswords are made from the tusks of a creature that was slain in a swamp on the shores of Emerald Bay.
This pair of shortswords are carved from bone that seem identical. Due to the shape of the bones they were carved, they have a slight curvature, which helps form an intricate labyrinth of little tubes in which the air travels before the strike, releasing a slight musical note, very much like a flute. The holes in it have a protuberance, which helps widen the wound, although sometimes blood may end up stored inside, so it requires cleaning after each battle.
Oddly, one of the swords release a sharp, high-pitched tune, while the other displays a spiritual, low-pitched tune.
When used in conjunction, a harmonic melody will sound before your enemies fall to the ground.
Ebony Mace of Terror
“It’s my shaft of darkness” — Cass
This black mace, with bluish etched runes, is made of bone from an unknown creature. Originally found in a blood temple on the Abyss and wielded by a disciple of a dark lord, the mace pulses with pure necrotic energy. So much so that only those of evil intentions may even touch it, let alone wield it. This necrotic energy eats away the flesh of its targets. Furthermore, the mace has been altered by the warlock Cass for his Patron Echinda during the Year of Stunning Greed. The Ebony Mace of Terror now also provides bonuses for his warlock abilities through the gifts of his Patron.
